Valerie is a writer and an editor of illustrated books. The question ‘where are you from’ never elicits a simple answer. Lives can be circuitous, quite like the ones of her grandparents, who all four came from different countries and lived in many places throughout their lives. Valerie herself grew up in France and England, and lived in Berlin as a student. She spent a significant number of years in New York, and just recently moved to London with her husband and three children. What Valerie likes most about cooking is inviting friends over for dinner. She is the author of Nettle & Quince, a blog about food memories past, present, and future.
