In the latest edition of Victoria Harley’s series ‘Oven Ready’, Victoria visits her local baker Phil Clayton.
Phil, a record store manager until 5 years ago, runs ‘Food For Thought Bakery and Delicatessen‘ in Haxby, UK, with his wife Tina. A self-taught artisan baker, Phil uses old-fashioned methods including “low yeasted overnight sponges, natural sourdough levain or a combination of the two” to create over 12 varieties of bread for his customers across North Yorkshire.
